Sophia Hill & Humble Glory jump clear to complete Burghley in style
Australian Sophia Hill and Humble Glory have completed their first Burghley Horse Trials in style, jumping clear on the final day to place 22nd in a 66-strong field.
As an international athlete Sophia believes in the importance of creating a connection with each horse and achieving a trusting two-way partnership to build the horses confidence and competence.
Sophia is based at Bluebell Park at Mansfield, Australia. Bluebell Equine Park specialises in breeding performance horses and standing stallions at stud.
Career highlights include:
3rd place at Adelaide 5 star, 22nd place at Burghley 5 star, 1st place Melbourne 4 star, part of the winning Australian Senior Oceana team in 2024, and being shortlisted as a reserve for the Paris Olympics.
After a successful campaign in the UK in 2024, and participation at the pre-olympic training camp as a reserve combination, we have our sights on returning to Europe in 2026.
We are currently looking for sponsorship and/or owner pathways for the european campaign.

I first started riding when I was seven years old. My family were living in Italy for three months and there was a riding school nearby. When we returned to Australia I begged my parents for a horse. I got my first pony when I was 9 years old and there was absolutely no going back! I was obsessed, and spent every possible moment zooming about my grandparents’ farm, jumping everything I could find.
